Accessibility Statement
1) Introduction
We are pleased about your visit to our website and thank you for your interest.
Below you will find information on the accessible usability of our online offering.
We inform you about,
- what services and functions you can expect on this website,
- how you can use these services and functions,
- which options for accessible usage are available to you, and
- which authority is responsible for monitoring the accessibility of this website.
2) Services and functions of this website
This website is an online shop for the sale of goods, digital content, and services.
Physical items are considered goods.
Digital content, on the other hand, refers to data or datasets created and provided in digital form.
Here, products are presented to you that can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then ordered and paid for definitively.
This website has a header and a footer menu.
In the header menu, the products we sell are listed by category and can be accessed individually from there.
Each product is described on its own detail page with further information about its essential characteristics, scope of delivery or service, and total price. From there, it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.
Also, once you have added at least one product to it, the electronic shopping cart can be accessed via the header menu. From this cart, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.
In the footer menu you will find links to our imprint with our contact information, as well as to information on the legal basis of our online offering, delivery and payment options, as well as links to other helpful service pages.
3) Explanations on the use of the offering and functions
3.1 Virtual buttons
This website can be operated via virtual buttons.
3.2 Home, overview, and detail pages
On the home page you will find, in the central area of the page, a selection of offered products. By interacting with a product presentation, you will be taken to the product detail page.
In the header menu you can navigate between the different product categories.
After selecting a category, you will arrive on an overview page where all products in this category are displayed.
By interacting with a product presentation on the overview page, you will then again go to the product detail page.
The product detail pages contain, in addition to all essential information on the product and total price, possibly a quantity selection element and a shopping cart button.
If available, the desired order quantity can be determined using the quantity selection.
3.3 Electronic shopping cart
By pressing the shopping cart button, you add the product (in the selected quantity) to the electronic shopping cart.
This electronic shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.
Here you can first review the added products. Using the appropriate buttons, products can be removed or, if applicable, the order quantity changed.
3.4 Electronic ordering process
After review, you can complete the electronic ordering process via interaction with the corresponding buttons.
For this purpose, you will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, e‑mail address and delivery or billing address) via an input form.
Then, in the next step, you can choose between the available delivery or service options.
Finally, you can decide on one of the available payment methods, enter the required payment details, and complete the order.
The binding placement of the order only occurs when the designated button on the final order page is activated. It is labeled "Buy", "Buy now", "Place binding order" or another clear formulation.
Before pressing this order button, you can at any time navigate back to the previous steps via your browser’s “Back” button and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.
If you have chosen to pay with an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider’s system to make the payment.
4) Legal requirements for accessibility
This website is counted as an online shop among so‑called “services in electronic commerce” and is characterized by an electronic ordering and payment option.
Special legal requirements for accessibility apply to it.
In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are tailored to the needs of people with disabilities and enable operation with digital aids.
The online shop functions of this website must be designed to be
- perceivable,
- operable,
- understandable, and
- robust.
Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they can be easily perceived by all users.
Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with limitations in mobility or cognition.
Understandability assumes that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognizable and clearly labeled.
Robustness finally requires that the contents and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, even when users employ digital aids.
If products subject to their own accessibility requirements are offered for sale in the online shop, information on accessible use must be provided for such products—where available.
5) Available assistance for accessible use
This website meets the accessibility requirements through the following measures:
- Alt‑texts for images: Images in the online shop have alternative texts that provide a brief description of the illustration and can be processed by screen readers.
- Adjustable font size: The font size of page content can be adjusted via settings to make it optimally perceivable for every user.
- Adjustable color contrast: The color contrast of page elements is adjustable. It can be increased or decreased.
- Accessible CAPTCHAs: To ensure inputs are human, so‑called “CAPTCHAs” are used in some cases. These CAPTCHAs can be completed not only by optical matching via vision, but also by solving simple puzzles.
- Operability via mouse and keyboard: Online shop functions are operable by both mouse and keyboard. Using keyboard navigation, the mouse pointer can be moved and activated.
- Browser‑independent page output: Content and functions of this website are available in identical layout, alignment and resolution, regardless of the browser used.
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A programming language is used which separates the presentation of page content in design, color and layout from its structural organization. This makes it possible for digital aids to use their own visibility schemes to display page content.
- Verified correctness of HTML code: All HTML code is permanently checked for functionality to prevent malfunctions and ensure detectability by digital aids.
- Sufficient character spacing: Characters are displayed with sufficient spacing between them to not impair readability.
- Compatibility with screen readers: The contents of the online shop are compatible with all common screen readers and can be read and processed by them.
- Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): Content, elements and functions automatically adapt their dimensions to the size of the screen used.
- Scalability (visibility when zoomed): Page elements and content remain highly legible even when enlarged.
- High color contrast: A strong contrast between text and background colors is set by default to ensure optimal visibility of page elements.
- Text prompts when mandatory input fields are not filled: If mandatory fields are not completed, a textual prompt appears in addition to a color highlight, indicating which information is missing.
- Subtitles in videos: Embedded videos are equipped with subtitles to enable unrestricted playback for deaf users.
