It has been seven years since the start of Creative Depot. Seven years in which a lot has happened.

Two relocations, system conversions, renovations - it was never boring with us. Especially the last year has presented us with significant challenges. Challenges that have allowed us to grow, both personally and in terms of team size. We have welcomed amazing "warehouse fairies" (team members) and it's wonderful to come to the warehouse in the morning and see so many happy faces and hear the laughter. It's amazing. Each of them brings their heart and ideas, and there is nothing more we could wish for than to have such amazing women by our side.

Every single warehouse fairy, graphic designer, and customer support representative who has joined us is a gift, and being able to be a part of their lives is something special.

Our joy is crowned by a design team that is so enchanting. Every week, my heart leaps with joy when I see these wonderful creations they make with our "ideas turned into products". The team has grown so much, they are incredibly friendly and creative, that I can hardly find the words to express it.

Our wish has always been to bring a little joy into the world with beautifully packaged and high-quality craft supplies. Never did we expect to receive so much joy and love in return.

For this gift and the trust placed in us, we are unbelievably grateful to all of you. In my first "about us" message, I wrote,

"Sometimes, I want to freeze the moments we get to enjoy together. I bow to Iris and all of you, and I am deeply grateful to experience this time."

Thank you all for allowing me to feel exactly the same even after seven years, and for each and every one of you accompanying this journey and making it something special.

Let's live our dream!

That was Iris's statement when I stood before her in late summer 2015. Pregnant, practically unemployed, and devoid of any perspective.

She has been by my side since I was 16 years old. There were nights by the campfire on the Elbe beach, early morning barefoot walks along country roads, absurd school lessons, and a dark time of illness.

Design, marketing, and a passion for stamping were the foundation we brought with us.

That was the spark for Creative Depot.

It started slowly, because two little children still wanted to come into the world. Now almost five years have passed, and every day in the office is a highlight. Conceiving new ideas, trying out new products, and having my soul sister by my side, what could be better.

In the meantime, so many people have joined us, and we are delighted with anyone who wants to be a part of it all. Our office and warehouse are small, but everyone is welcome who enjoys a latte macchiato, chocolate marshmallow rolls, and good conversations.

Anyone who gets to know us will find that there are hardly any people who could be more different. Our style, our lives, our hairstyles... there are no overlaps. Our views on life and death, nothing could be more contrasting.

And then there is the magic. The things that don't need to be said, and we know what is meant. There is a pure Iris-Marion language.

So, in short. Who are Iris and Marion?

Iris is my soul sister. Two years older and always wiser and calmer than me. She is fortunate to live with "OUR" office dog, Anakin. Just a stone's throw away from the Elbe, in the perfectly furnished apartment. Her previous job in Hamburg's Hafencity was elitist and gave her a full-blown burnout. Many people, a noisy environment... those are the places where you won't find her.

I am Marion. Married to a wonderful man, and we live with our children south of Hamburg, in a forest. Thanks to the children, I have now fully embraced life, and chaos is our motto.

Iris and I are thrilled to be able to share our ideas and thoughts with others, and we always welcome new inspirations and impulses. Our #bestDesignteamintheworld is very good at that. So many people, and all incredibly nice...
